Kiyavilo MsekwaAbout me
My name is ; Kiyavilo : Msekwa(Kims is my nickname) from Arusha, Tanzania. East Africa.I'm a computer science and engineering student at St.Joseph college of Engineering and Technology here in Dar es Salaam Tanzania. I was born in Arusha and I did my basic Primary education there and one year in Junior High school. I have live in three places which are Arusha, Dodoma and Dar es salaam but my interests in ICT started in Dodoma. I pay interest to ICT and it is what am moving ahead till this moment. When I return to Arusha from Dodoma where I finished my Junior high school studies I University Computing Centre (UCC) Arusha Branch and study more about maintaining a computer and repairing. Thereafter I join Diploma studies in computer science and Engineering which am still doing at the moment. It brings a wonderful impression of victory through out your life. So if you know what you really want to do with your lige do it Thanks My ProjectsOne of the Project that I am engage in is Computer Assemblying. This is the project which will be runned in Kiswahili so as to give the chance people across East African community who can only speak Kiswahili to have the opportunity to share their Ideas and transfer their Knowledge to a bit advanced one in understand technology and its devices. This project focused to people in Tanzania, who don't have their own personal desktop computers either at their offices or at their homes. It will help them do their budgets to plan what kind of computers they will want to own. They will also give them the chance to understand how computer works. They will learn basic knowledge of computers and software applications. My VisionsI would also like to share with you as well as the rest of the group about my visions. There will be no engineers, teachers, doctors, politicians, economist as well as social workers in our community if we wont put desire and ambitions in the hearts of childrens. In Tanzania childrens from poor families end up knowing/learn ICT knowledge when they join universities for higher education. This is not right cause we misses a lot of childrens to cover up the carriers I mention above. Here is my idea concerning the idea above informations, am interested in pooring ICT knowledge to some youngsters in Primary Schools here in Arusha by teaching them ICT knowledge to them in KISWAHILI as part of my project. What I intend to get is to pick some of the students who are interested to become computer engineers, electronics designers, software engineers, game developers as well as graphic designers. I imagine our laboratory might need people with the experience I mentioned sometimes in future, its like an investment for the future. I hope you will understand my dreams. UYOGA is working with youth in Tanzania and Kiyavilo you have made a great contribution towards helping youth and UYOGA members in their ICT learning. UYOGA through its Youth Empowerment Program, we provide training skills to youth, skills in mobile phone and electronics repair-including computer, laptops, printers, radios,TV etc. UYOGA is also assembling PCs for our projects-Computer Skills training project, mobile phone repair project.
