Community Justice See Also;LearningLaw My CommunityJustice project aims to improve local quality of life, it lets people get involved in making their area a better place to live in by helping to reduce anti-social behaviour like grafiting, vandalism and drug dealing. Is also making sure that people who are affected by bad behaviour and crime have a say in how things are sorted out in their community. Doing CommunityJustice i engage myself with victim-offender mediation practices, i started in 2008 to organise crime victims and offenders to resolve their conflicts at the community level through mediated face-to-face dialogue. With experience in law enforcement duties as my law enfocement career i have been providing free mediation and confict management. Not all crimes are repoted to the police, sometimes the victim will feel sorry for the culprit and agree to give him free if he returns what he has stolen,am dealing with victims and offenders who are interested to settle their dispitutes out of professional organisations like the police, court but agreeing to settle dispitutes through mediation, victim and offenders must accept individual and collective accountability.Crimes are commited in our neighborhoods; Victims and offenders are at war against one another and against the state. CommunityJustice project provides free mediation and conflict management services to individual people and help them resolve disputes. The project will also work to supporting the people that cause trouble, for example youth addicted to illicit drugs. Also intend to start and organise community justice forum that we involve the following intersested parties; victims, offenders and coommunity willing to resolve conflicts through reconciliation by involving the community in the Victim-Offender Mediation process. An Offender may come with one or two people he trusts and a victim as well. Sometimes i involve a local goverment within that area where a victim and offender lives, the dialogue some times i call 'Peace-Circle' under a panel of 6 people resolving a single conflict proceeds has each side ( victim and offender ) give explanations,,this save more cases 'minor cases' not to be reported to the authority instead are resolved within the limit of participating community victims and offenders and the community around them. My idea sterms from the theory of restorative justice. Restorative justice is a theory of justice which focuses on crime and wrongdoing as ated against the individual or community rather than the state;Restorative Justice Sat, 18 Jul 09 16:21:28 +0000 Benoit Couture: Josephat, here is a link to some thoughts that go along with your's: www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/A20641024
