This is what we want in a display!: Wincor-Nixdorf point-of-sale display BA69, monochrome, 320 x 640, 5.7 inch, with stand, tube and/or keyboard. These displays are sold separately by GSV-Service. They can also be purchased from Compuserv Polska. There is perhaps a link to Siemens from which the company was spunoff, see Siemens. They work in conjunction with POS keyboards. It seems that IBM, Epson, ICL also make customer displays. Note that 2 x 20 pole displays are typically 150 USD and these are likely more expensive, unfortunately...

  • BA69 - a new type of operator and customer display tailored for modern POS applications with a graphical user interface. The 5.7" LCD flat display offers standard VGA compatibility in a quarter size of a standard PC screen. Small foot print, ergonomic design and graphic ability are features of this technology which set it apart from usual line oriented displays. This provides better information for the customer and operator e.g. through the ability to display the electronic journal with scroll capability or through the individual layout of the screen with various font sizes and symbols.

  • Wincor-Nixdorf corporate social responsibility Our responsibility to the environment applies not only to the production process but also to the entire life-cycle of our products – from development and production to operation and, ultimately, recycling. Right at the development stage we make every effort to manufacture products with a long life-cycle, avoid the use of damaging substances, reduce the number of materials used, and, wherever possible, recycle them. Old devices that have been returned to us can occasionally be reused in their entirety; otherwise, we aim to remove the components and modules and reuse them as spare parts.
