Video Editing See also: VideoBridge, Video, VideoBridgeTechnology Join us at Mendenyo or Learning From Each Other. AsifDaya, Learning From Each Other, July 16th, 2007: It does not matter what tool you use - it's the experience of using tools that are similar. Knowing what is needed in a successful video and video editing. I had posted a link here earlier on what to think about BEFORE you go and SHOOT a video. That must come first. Next you must know the video language - i.e. your tool - does it use NTSC, or PAL/SECAM.... I am assuming they can both be uploaded - since YOUTUBE is International. But the reason you need to Know that is when you begin Editing or converting the file (encoding/decoding) you will have choices for NTSC or PAL/SECAM. You will also have choices for Mono or Stereo and how many MHz. You need to know how many MHz makes the sound quality better and what is too much that the ear can not tell the difference and hence only makes the file larger. Typically Mono will do unless it is a musical concept. Note where you bring the sounds in from - they are usually copyrighted. But if you buy for example a SONY SoundForge - It comes with 10,000 sound clips that are not copyrighted. I use SoundForge, Acid Pro and Vegas
You will need someone to start you off with the basics - and we at Trainerspod are going to have a Webinar on just that.....date unconfirmed by speaker. Another editing tool you can use is the mother of all: Adobe Premiere: http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/ And Finally, there is one more that I recommend but I have not used it for editing yet: CAMTASIA: http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.asp AsifDaya: For some of these softwares I get a student discount - so if anyone is interested you can pay me through PayPal and I will purchase the software for you. http://www.virtualdub.org/ (courtsey of multimachine yahoogroup folks, who are attempting to produce a DVD with 2 hours of howto stuff) |
