• PatternPurpose=Everybody thinks, but not everybody cares about thinking. A person may simply live life as if they were watching television, reacting reflexively, not considering their life's potential, not living decisively.
• PatternOutcome=People who return to ideas they like, who collect a few ideas a day, end up with thousands of ideas, castles in their mind, a private language.
• PatternStatus=3 Supposed. Andrius has had many 5-minute conversations where it becomes quickly clear that a person is interested in the subject of "independent thinking" or is not.

My organization, Resources for Independent Thinking, is interested in developing resources for critical thinking about authority. We have a few materials on our web site http://www.rit.org including recommended readings, pamphlets, and tapes, and I am working on a popular book on how to stand up to experts and authorities. I would like to see someone do a book for children of this kind. [Actually someone has but I don't think it's available anymore. I will get back to you all with the name later. ] If any of you know of other resources,we would be happy to promote them on our web site.
