  • Philips spin-off Polymer Vision, in Eidhoven, Netherlands, which was spun out of Philips, is developing a 5-inch diagonal display on flexible plastic that rolls up and gets e-mail or maps via 3G wireless networks.
  • Philips spin-off iRex Technologies makes the ILIAD and is testing a plastic, electronic newspaper for the French daily paper Les Echos.
